Our Process
PK Construction Inc. is committed to making the entire design/build process an enjoyable and rewarding experience. The process begins with learning your wants and needs so we can develop the preliminary plans.
Once you've chosen a homesite, your final plans are completed, priced and approved. Next comes the arranging of financing. With financing in place and a contract signed, the actual building process begins.
While foundation work and framing gets underway, you are ready for the selection process. We will continue to guide you through the selection of floor coverings, lighting, appliances, counter tops, paints, stains, and cabinets.
Once construction has been completed, a final quality inspection occurs followed by a final walk-through. The closing will take place and the keys are now yours.
1. Pre-Construction
Floor Plan and home site selected.
Mortgage application completed. Design option selections finalized.
Pre-Construction meeting held with Tim or Jason.
2. Start of Construction
Orders are placed for materials.
Homesite ready for foundation.
3. Foundation
Foundation footings and walls poured.
Foundation backfilled.
Underground plumbing installed.
Basement and garage floor slabs poured.
Rough-graded and ready for framing.
4. Framing and Mechanics
First and second floors and walls are roughed.
Roof trusses installed.
Exterior trim, windows and shingles installed.
Exterior siding and masonry installed.
Rough plumbing and electrical.
5. Drywall, Trim and Interior Finishes
Insulation installed
Drywall installed.
Internal trim and painting completed.
Cabinets and vanities installed.
Ceramic tiles laid.
Final plumbing fixtures installed.
Flooring, hardwood and carpeting installed.
Appliances installed.
Painting touchups and final cleaning performed.
6. Inspection and Closing
PK quality control done.
Final homeowner walk through complete.
PK customer care begins.
